eBay predicted yesterday (January 30) would be its biggest day for selling on its Irish website and expected 14,308 items to be listed for sale on eBay.ie. “More Irish people are expected to log on and list their unwanted items for sale than any other day of the year to raise additional funds in post-Christmas rut.” The prediction was based on applying average listings year on year on the busiest regifting day in 2010.

Year on year, music experienced the largest rise in growth on eBay Ireland, increasing 233% throughout the year. Sports memorabilia came in second (111%), followed by video games (74%), auto parts (71%) and dolls bears (38%).
