• FOREST CITY — The holiday season begins at 4 p.m. with an open
house at the Summit newspaper office with photos with Santa and
refreshments, a tree-lighting ceremony at 5:30  with a devotional
by Corey Smith, a performance by St. Christopher Chorale and
caroling by candlelight.

• HAMPTON — 12 Days of Holly Dazzle continues with an open house
at the Hampton Public Library from noon to 7 p.m., including a
visit by Santa Claus from 5 to 7 p.m. 

• MASON CITY — The North Iowa Symphony Orchestra will present
“Pictures at an Exhibition” at 7:30 p.m. in the North Iowa
Community Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults, free for
students.
