Hello, I’m Emily Polk, and these are your CSR Minute headlines for Thursday, November 18th:

Bombardier, the manufacturer of airplanes and rail vehicles, has launched a dedicated web site, www.csr.bombardier.com, to improve access to the company’s CSR reports and initiatives. Bombardier has just released its third CSR report exclusively online at the site. Among the highlights are the company’s listing on the Dow Jones Sustainability World and North America Indexes for the fourth consecutive year, ranking among the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada in 2010 and #1 in the Environment category, and the embedding of the UN Global Compact principles in the Bombardier Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Center for Responsible Business presented a seminar, Corporate Social Responsibility: An Introduction,” at its Jebel Ali office last week. The meeting, organized in association with Economic Zones World, was the latest in a series by the Chamber to raise awareness about CSR in the Dubai business community. HR, communications, risk, and CSR directors and managers discussed the business case for CSR and then made a site visit to the Pacific Controls building in TechnoPark, the first Platinum LEED-certified building in the UAE.
