Cars, country houses, or jewellery – how will Worcester’s new mystery millionaire splash the cash?

AFTER hitting the jackpot the mystery Worcester winner is going to need some ideas for an incredible spending spree.

With £33 million the winner will be richer than One Direction member Harry Styles and former member Zayn Malik, as well as singer Ed Sheeran and Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.

When they come forward the new millionaire, or millionaires, will need a plan on how to splash the cash around Worcestershire.

Here are the Worcester News’ best suggestions:

Drink

If the winner fancies celebrating their spectacular win the Champagne is on ice at Brown’s at The Quay.

A bottle of Armand de Brignac, the fine dining restaurant’s most expensive bubbly, will set the winner back £500.

But when you are a millionaire that is mere pocket money prices.

Perhaps instead of Champagne to toast their win they will need a stiff drink to contemplate how their life will change.

At Bolero in Foregate Street they can enjoy a shot of Hennessey Paradis for an eye-watering £45 a shot.

Car

Who wants to drive around in a clapped out banger – or even a decent run around – when you have £33million lying in the bank.

The neighbours will definitely be able to guess you have had a windfall if they see a 1990 Ferrari Testarossa parked in the driveway.

The Ferrari is the most expensive car on the forecourt of The Supercar Rooms, Hartlebury Trading Estate, near Worcester, and will set you back a cool £280,000.

Amazingly, the supercar only has 138 miles on the clock because the last owner bought two – one to drive around in and another to keep in the garage.

Fancy being like James Bond? Well, they also have a 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish for sale for just £135,000.

For those wanting to be a bit more discrete then at Mercedes Benz of Worcester, in Hindlip Lane, their most expensive car on the forecourt is a £72,000 AMG C class.

The sales assistant did reassure us that if something more expensive in the brochure caught the lottery winner’s eye then they would be able to accommodate their request.

Jewellery

What better way to treat yourself after scooping the windfall than spend some of the winnings on some high-end jewellery.

Peplow jewellers in High Street, Worcester, have some stunning items including a 13 carat white gold necklet priced at £46,380 and a solid platinum ring costing £21,000.

A lottery winner will also need a new way to tell the time – how about on a solid platinum gents Rolex watch, costing just £50,100.

Houses

Super cars and expensive jewellery are all very well but the lottery winner will soon be looking for a new place to call home.

Among the most expensive properties on Worcestershire estate agent Andrew Grant’s books is the Chapel Cottage in Clent.

The £1.4 million property features a study, master bedroom with jacuzzi bath, cinema house, sun room, a garage with space for three cars, and a large patio area leading out to a swimming pool.

Alternatively, Knight Frank estate agents offer the Grade II listed country house Wichenford Court, at a guide price of £2.3 million.

The property, near Martley, includes a reception hall, outbuildings and gardens, as well as a swimming pool with a nearby summer house.

Having guests stay over would also not be a problem with the country house’s seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Which property would the winners choose? With more than £30 million in the bank maybe they will purchase both.
