The owners of a Belfast bar are raising a glass after the drinking hole was trumpeted as one of the best 15 in the British Isles.

Brewbot opened on the Ormeau Road last year and has already established a reputation as one of the city’s top nightspots.

The team invented a robot that brews beer controlled and monitored using a smartphone app.

The app allows users to create, tweak or download recipes while the appliance offers the perfect brewing environment for anyone to brew their own beer.

The bar boasts 10 rotating taps featuring the best beer from across the world as well as showcasing local beers.

It was voted fourth in a list of 15 of the best bars by BuzzFeed.

BuzzFeed said of Brewbot: “This brewpub boasts a selection of 300-plus beers as well as a craft beer cocktail range and board games. It also offers brew pots to brew your own beer in. It’s the best place to get experimenting!”
