Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter has reluctantly agreed to place striker Stephen O’Flynn on the transfer list.
The former Derry City and Institute forward joined the Seaview club in the January transfer window last year.
The 33-year-old has found his first-team opportunities with the Premiership champions limited this season.
“Stephen O’Flynn is a superb talent and a first class professional and it is with a heavy heart that I have agreed to his request,” commented Baxter.
“I have no doubt that the player will continue to give 100% to our cause and we will see what develops,” added the Crues boss.
Just last month, Baxter
as the best finisher in Northern Ireland after he scored a last-gasp winner in a league match against Dungannon Swifts.
“I work with him in training and he is a magnificent finisher,” said Baxter after the game at Stangmore Park on 5 December.
“His brain works more quickly than everyone else’s. We have to use him when the time is right, but when you give him a chance he will score.”
