We are looking for a Head of Events Community Engagement who is passionate about delivering results and motivating people. You will bring the professionalism and enthusiasm to deliver our Events and Community Team’s strategy.
You will be a vital senior player in a fundraising team committed to raising money, so together, we can change the lives of the world’s poorest people.
We have an innovative portfolio of events and community fundraising activities, in a team where the income is growing. Additionally in 2016, we have investment for some very exciting growth opportunities.
You will be leading a team of exceptional individuals – all highly committed and motivated, with a strong sense of team, and who make a great contribution to ActionAid.
You will develop your team to deliver against annual targets for income and expenditure, lead on introducing new supporters to the organisation and increase the value potential of existing supporters.
We will look to you to work collaboratively across teams innovating our offering to attract larger audiences and maximising the potential of internal assets, such as schools and campaigning audiences.
You will also oversee the development of robust digital platforms to market events and build community fringe networks and engagement. Important too will be the ability to integrate strategy into our Individual Giving programme and build effective monitoring and reporting systems.
To achieve this, you must have knowledge of community, UK and mass participation events as well as overseas challenges. You will understand what best practice looks like and possess experience of coordinating and marketing a wide range of events.
Critically you will be able to demonstrate a track record of developing new initiatives. By nature, you will inspire your team to over achieve and you’ll be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering growth in the events and /or community funding.
