Honor ‘KIW-AL20’ Gets Listed on Tenaa With Images, Specifications

Huawei’s Honor brand seems set to launch another smartphone, as a new
handset from the company has been listed on Tenaa – the Chinese
telecommunications certification authority. The handset bears model
number KIW-AL20.

The listing of the Honor KIW-AL20 shows images of the
yet-to-be-announced smartphone in its full glory. The front panel of
the handset can be seen, and with the lack of capacitive navigation
buttons, it implies the handset may sport on-screen keys.

The
Tenaa listing image of the rear panel shows a fingerprint scanner placed
just below the camera – the Honor branding is seen at the bottom of the
back panel, which appears to be made of metal. The right panel houses
the physical buttons for volume rockers and power.

In one of the
Tenna listing images of side profile, the left panel houses SIM slot along with
what it looks like a microSD card slot.

The specifications listed
(in Chinese) on Tenaa of the Honor Kiw-AL20 include a 5.5-inch full-HD
(1080×1920 pixels) TFT display; 1.5GHz octa-core processor; 3GB of RAM;
32GB of storage; a 13-megapixel rear camera; 5-megapixel front camera,
and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The listing claims that the handset
measures 151.3×76.3×8.15mm and weighs 158 grams. The handset also
supports 4G LTE connectivity option, as per Tenaa listing.

In
other news, a high-end Huawei smartphone dubbed D8 is rumoured to launch
in 2016. According to a leak
emerging from China, the Huawei D8 is said to feature a 5.5-inch
display with sapphire glass for protection and QHD resolution (1440×2560
pixels). Powered by a Kirin 960 SoC, the handset is said to come with
4GB of RAM and will be priced competing against high-end devices. The D8
is claimed to be priced around Samsung’s high-end smartphones at around
CNY 5,000 (approximately Rs. 51,000).
