Activities planned are as follows:

Wednesday, Dec. 30

Sing in the New Year, 10:30 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

Kids will be singing songs, listening to a story, making New Year’s resolutions, and having a snack. This program is the perfect way to close out 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms. This program is for kids of all ages.

Thursday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 1

The Dickinson County Library and branches will be closing at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 31 and will remain closed Friday, Jan. 1 for the New Year holiday. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, Jan. 2.

Tuesday, Jan. 5

Wiggle Worms Storytime, 10 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library.

The Dickinson County Library will hold Storytime sessions on Tuesdays, Jan. 5, Jan. 12 and Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. January’s theme is “snowmen.” Children will listen to stories and participate with fingerplays, songs, puppets and more. This program is open to kids of all ages.

Lego Club, 4 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library.

Kids can explore structural design and teamwork while using Legos to build fantastic structures, dreamscapes, and more. Each month will feature a mystery theme that will be revealed at Lego Club. Lego Club is for kids in grades 3-8.

Wednesday, Jan. 6

Snuggle like a cuddle bug at the Cuddle Bugs Storytime on Wednesdays, Jan. 6, Jan. 13 and Jan. 27, 10:30 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library. January’s theme is “snowmen.” This program is designed to introduce infants to the world of stories. Through sensory exploration and exposure to songs, tickles, puppets and many other enriching circle time activities, your child will be involved in an environment that encourages fun, laughter, and giggles. This program is open to all babies ages birth to 2+.

Thursday, Jan. 7

Norway Storytime, 10:30 a.m. at the Norway Library.

Children of all ages are invited to a fun and fascinating Storytime. January’s theme is “snowmen.” Kids will have a great time interacting with each other through stories, rhymes, puppets, and music while learning to love the library. This program is open to all ages.

Preparing for Retirement Program, 2:30 p.m. at the Dickinson County Library.

This program will help you prepare for retirement with some simple tips and tricks to wade through the paperwork and plan a retirement that will benefit you and your family. This program is for adults only and registration is required.

Lego Club, 3:30 p.m. at the Norway Library.

Saturday, Jan. 9

Saturday Matinee: “Inside Out,” 10 a.m. at the Dickinson County Library.

Join Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear as they attempt to guide Riley through the trials and tribulations of being a kid and go on a journey toward growth and acceptance. Full of laughs, adventures, and a touch of Joy and Sadness, this film is not to be missed. This film is perfect for all ages and is rated PG.
