Police investigating a burglary that caused significant damage to a Warwickshire church have asked for help in tracking down a man they want to speak to about the break-in.
A burglar smashed into St Edmund’s Church in Church Street, Shipston-on-Stour, on November 28 in an attempt to steal silverware.
Police say “significant damage” was caused to the grade two listed building in the raid.
Several items were recovered following the burglary but many more are still missing.
Now police have identified Adam Kupka, aged 28, as someone who they believe will be able to help them with their inquiries.
Pc Craig Purcell from Shipston Police safer neighbourhood team said: “This crime has hit at the heart of the local community and support for St Edmund’s was immediate.
“Significant work has been completed during the police investigation but efforts to locate Adam Kupka in Oxfordshire have so far failed.
