The 15-year-old property, named Paratiho is ranked as one of the country’s top farming estates and is currently owned by former HSBC chief executive Sir Keith Whitson. The former banking boss bought the plush property in 2009, Stuff.co.nz reports.
The main residence was originally operated as a holiday destination and was once part of the highly esteemed Relais Châteaux association before it was taken over as a private resident by the Whitsons. After purchasing the pile the couple then added the golf course to the extravagant property.
As well as the stunning house and grounds, the estate is also home to a farm with 7,500 stock units made up of sheep, cattle and deer.

The couple are looking to sell the property in order to ‘rationalise their investments’.
‘There’s nothing specific, they’re retired from business and now looking just to consolidate. Less farming more playing golf,’ he told the website.
The estate is a 12 minute drive from Motueka township so although secluded, it is not isolated.
As well as being used as a private residence there is the possibility to turn the property back into a luxury lodge, as an office, manager’s apartment and large garage are all still in their original condition within the property.
Plenty of room to entertain: The luxury kitchen in the property is open plan with plenty of space for many guests
