Nick Hall is in for a busy day at what will be his return to race riding at Caulfield on Saturday.
The Group 1 jockey has been booked for seven rides on the Melbourne Racing Club’s traditional Boxing Day card.
The 28-year-old has rides in the two Listed events; to partner the Robert Smerdon-trained Reldas in the $120,000 The Cup Club Christmas Stakes (1200m) and Lord Athenaeum, for Stuart Webb, in the $120,000 Swettenham Stud Lord Stakes (1700m).
Lord Athenaeum is one of 10 horses on the 54kg limit in the Lord Stakes, which is Race 8 on the 10-event card.
He also rides leading fancies Climate (Race 2) and Warrior King (Race 7) for Smerdon with Tony McEvoy’s Validate (Race 1), the Ciaron Maher-prepared Well Sighted (Race 6) and Monkstone (Race 10) for Michael Phillips.
The Caulfield card will be Hall’s first raceday in the saddle since riding at Flemington on 9 May.
He has since undergone two wrist operations and returned to trackwork earlier this month.
