Regent Street Cinema, part of the University of Westminster, hosted the 3rd Venuemasters London (VML) networking event on Tuesday 1 December to celebrate the unique space for hire within academic venues in London.
70 guests enjoyed welcome drinks served in the cinema bar, before entering the stunning auditorium armed with a box of popcorn.

Once seated, guests relished in the cinema experience for themselves with a screening of the services that Venuemasters, the national consortium representing around 70 venues across the country, has to offer event organisers needing to hire meeting and accommodation space, as well as a short film about the history of the beautiful cinema. Guests then returned to the foyer to network with representatives from eight VML member venues over refreshments and canapés, before re-entering the auditorium for a complimentary showing of the film that evening, Sicario.

One of the event guests notes: “Many thanks for such a delightful evening yesterday. The venue is fabulous with all its glorious history and I enjoyed ‘Sicario’ – not to mention crunching the Popcorn! Hopefully we shall be visiting this great venue again. Thanks very much and Seasons Greetings to the team.”

The aim of the VML programme is to increase awareness of the incredible spaces and event facilities that Academic venues in London offer.

Venuemasters London consists of 11 academic venues across central and Greater London offering an eclectic range of unique venues and facilities for hire. Collectively, the event spaces range from intimate modern classrooms for small meetings and events, right up to large, Grade II listed venues for larger functions such as gala dinners and weddings. Some venues also offer accommodation during the summer months.
