The Australian ratings board has listed PES 2016 Free to Play, suggesting an imminent launch.
A listing on the Australian classification board (spotted by GameSpot) has prompted speculation about a free-to-play version of the most recent PES series entry.
The game was classified on November 19 and is called PES 2016 Free to Play. Sadly the listing provides no further information about the game.
We’re wondering whether it’s going to be similar to the DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition, where it gave you a proper taster of the game with only certain features tucked away behind the paywall.

Konami released the Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 15 as a full-priced boxed game.
The publisher hasn’t officially announced a free-to-play version of the game, or even hinted that such a title would be a possibility.
There’s no indication whether this would be released in the UK either, or just for the Asian market, which is more receptive to a free-to-play title such as this.
