Inverurie residents are being urged to ensure they have their say on the recently proposed plans for the town’s new health and social care hub.
NHS Grampian are set to host a public awareness day on the proposed £14.6million facility at the Acorn Centre on Thursday, November 19.
The event will run from 11am to 8pm.
The new building will be constructed within the site of the town’s community hospital and will serve more than 20,000 patients making it the largest single health centre in the country.
The hub will include GP and community health facilities, a public dental and community maternity unit as well as diagnostic and treatment services such as X-ray and cardiology.
The building includes 38 consulting rooms and more than 200 car parking spaces.
Stan Mathieson, Project Director with NHS Grampian, said: “The awareness day offers people an opportunity to study the proposals in more detail and put their questions and views across to the project team directly.
“Our earlier events about the site and evolving designs have always been well attended, constructive and provided some really useful feedback to the design team.
“We are committed to ensuring that we provide a facility that meets the needs of the local community so I would encourage anyone with a question, comment or observation about the plans to come along.”
