The Silverstone, Sachsenring, Sepang and Valencia events have all been moved on an updated version of the 2016 MotoGP calendar.
September’s release of the initial 2016 line-up saw Silverstone brought forward from the end of August to mid-July. But changes were then made to next year’s F1 schedule, including a July 10 date for the British four-wheel GP.
That meant F1 would take place just one week before MotoGP, an untenable situation which has now resulted in a return to the late summer (September 4) date for the British MotoGP.
The German round has taken over Silverstone’s old July 17 spot, one week later than previously listed, meaning there will be an extended two-weekend break after Assen.
The end of the season has also been revised with Sepang changing from being first of the flyaways (9 October) to continue its existing position as the penultimate round (October 30).
But with Japan and Australia keeping the same 2016 dates, the season has been extended by one week and the Valencia finale will now be held on November 13 instead of November 6.
Jerez and Brno remain subject to contract…
