Legal experts at Peterborough-based Ferguson Financial Solicitors are celebrating after being short-listed for a national legal award.
Ferguson Financial Solicitors, which specialises in legal services for businesses, is among five companies short-listed for the Modern Law Awards’ best alternative business structure category for firms with up to 25 staff.
The alternative business structure (ABS) allows staff who are not lawyers to have a stake in the law firm and the category seeks evidence of implementation of strategic goals, financial performance and community involvement.
Managing director Maurice Power said: “We’re very proud of our progress this year and to be recognised by the prestigious Modern Law Awards means a great deal to us.
“We hold traditional values in our approach to business.
“Personal relationships, trust and integrity are important to us, and we are particularly inspired by supporting small businesses and assisting both our own employees and young people in general to develop their careers.”
Ferguson Financial Solicitors entered the awards to mark a successful year of business which has seen the company grow significantly.
In just two years since launching as an ABS, the company has shown sustained and steady increases in both profits and turnover.
Its initial aim, to become market leaders for PPI recovery for Insolvency Practitioners, has already been achieved. The firm is now expanding into other legal services to the benefit of SMEs, particularly in the Peterborough area.”
