Anonymous artist John D’oh used the power of street art to protect the endangered Birnbeck Pier in Weston-super-Mare.
The Banksy-inspired artist helped organise the Paint and Pier event in collaboration with the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust and other artists.
He was approached after his Paris Hilton artwork appeared during the Dismaland exhibition.
Over 30 artists from around the country came along to the free event which only asked for a small donation for the trust.
Other artists included Beastie, Dnek, Bunny Boiler, Lokey and Ian Walker.
John D’oh told the Bristol Post: “I think this has maybe helped kick start an interest in street art where Banksy has left off. Since Dismaland, North Somerset Council are also interested in running another street art event so who knows this could be the start of something big for Weston and maybe another tourist attraction as it is for Bristol.”
