CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) –

It’s that time of year when people search for the best haunted houses from all over the country seeking a fright as Halloween approaches. 

It just so happens, the a fearful thrill is closer to home than most may think. 

Cincinnati’s “The Dent Schoolhouse” has been dubbed as one of the “19 most insane haunted houses that’ll literally scare the [expletive] out of you,” in an article on Buzzfeed. 

The feature states this attraction will freak you out because of its dark history. 

“This place was an actual school in the late 1800s, but shut down after a “strain of murders,” and was reopened as a huge attraction in the mid-2000s,” wrote the article.

“Haunted Hoochie,” an adult-only haunted house in Columbus, Ohio was also listed due to the “insane amounts of gore” used in its presentation.
