Seattle Seahawks injury report: RB Marshawn Lynch officially listed as …

Running back Marshawn Lynch is officially listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions on the Seahawks’ final injury report of the week.

Lynch is battling a sore hamstring and coach Pete Carroll has already said that it is unlikely that Lynch’s status will be determined until close to the 5p.m. kickoff for the contest against Detroit at CenturyLink Field.

The questionable designation officially means a player has a 50-50 chance of playing. Lynch was also listed as questionable for last week’s game against Chicago with a calf injury but was declared active and played much of the first half before suffering the hamstring injury that held him out of the second half.

Also listed as questionable are defensive tackle Brandon Mebane (groin), defensive end Demarcus Dobbs (shoulder) and linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis (knee).

Listed as out are cornerback Tharold Simon (toe) and defensive back Steven Terrell (hip).

The team is practicing Saturday and Carroll will address the media afterward. Lynch did not practice on Thursday or Friday.

If Lynch cannot play then Thomas Rawls would get the start at tailback with veteran Fred Jackson and Derrick Coleman also getting more snaps at that spot.

Jordan Hill will fill in for Mebane if he is unable to go — Mebane was also injured against the Bears. Dobbs is a backup but if he and Mebane are each out then the team’s defensive line rotation will obviously be shortened a big.  David King, Frank Clark and Cassius Marsh would all likely see more time in that scenario.
