TEDxLeamingtonSpa has released its speaker list for the event taking place at the Spa Centre in Leamington in November.
There will be 14 speakers taking to the stage to deliver a short informative talk along the event’s theme ‘Courageous Creations’.
The speakers and their subjects are Phil Davis- Extreme Creativity , Angela Lamont – Lunar Mission One, Roger Frampton – Human Movement, Henry Morshead – Bloodhound Super-Sonic Car, Geoff Thompson – Fear, Neil Hughes – Walking on Custard, Vikie Shanks – Neuro-Divergency, Alan Heap -Bringing back the licensed fool, Helen Dunnett – My Imperfect Rape, Paula Hall – Sex Addiction, Andrew Barnabas – Musical composition from everyday people, Natalie Griffith – The local games industry,
Doctor Sean Holden – Artificial intelligence, and music as a communications medium and David Owen – Telling the human stories of the Israel/Palestine conflict through film.
One of the event’s curator’s, Orla Murphy said: “With over 130 applications received, we certainly had a tough task on our hands selecting speakers and performers which is a great feat considering it’s our first event.
Event Curator Paula Palade added: “We believe we’ve carefully compiled a speaker list that provides the perfect blend of human interest, technology and educational talks that will hopefully give our audience food for thought to leave them inspired and entertained.”
Performers complete the day’s entertainment with musical performances from up and coming Coventry band The Ellipsis and internationally acclaimed singer Mary-Jess Leaverland, who won the Chinese version of X-Factor by gaining 70 million votes and is best known for her vocals on the Downton Abbey theme.Rhythmic gymnasts AlienZoo, choreographed by GB Olympic Team choreographer Ellen Watson, will also be showcasing their acrobatic skill.”
