Deal Or No Deal? Noel Edmonds Puts Grade II-Listed £3m Country Home Up For Sale

If you ever wanted to buy the home that Mr Blobby built then now’s your chance, as Noel Edmonds is selling his £3m country home.

Better yet, the Grade II listed country home is also close to the Deal Or No Deal studios – meaning you might see the banker as you pick up your morning paper.

Edmonds, 66, bought Fieldgrove House – which is located in a private setting in the quiet hamlet of Bitton near Bristol – with his third wife Liz in 2007.

And at £3m, the TV veteran is selling for £1m more than he paid for the property eight years ago.

With seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, four reception rooms and a separate one-bedroom annexe, you’ll be able to take in any Deal Or No Deal contestants as guests as they try to win £250,000.

The 15 acres of grounds also boast a courtyard garden, ponds, stream and wetlands, landscaped gardens and a lake with islands.

However, the decision to sell the home may be a sign that Edmonds is planning to quit his role as Deal Or No Deal host – although he has had his fair share of problems with the property.

In 2011 he was embroiled in a planning row with South Gloucestershire Council after officials ordered him to demolish a mound which he had created using soil excavated from the construction of his lake.

The council ruled it was too high and also told him to move a pair of storage containers he had dug into the ground.

At the time he accused South Gloucestershire Council of wasting taxpayers’ money and said officials had lacked common sense.

Edmonds came out of the celebrity wilderness to launch Deal Or No Deal in 2005 and he has hosted more than 3,000 episodes of the Channel 4 show in 10 years.

He is known to travel between the home and studio in his black cab, complete with a mannequin to stop people trying to flag him down for a ride.

However, it recently emerged Edmonds is yet to be offered a new deal to host the TV show, which has handed over more than £40 million in prize money.

Fieldgrove House was put on the market over the weekend with Knight Frank.

The estate agency states the home has been improved by the current owners to boast superb modern day family living while retaining the Georgian detailing.
