A classic Los Angeles mansion once owned by notoriously private Hollywood screen siren Katharine Hepburn has hit the market for $7.4 million.
The “Bringing up Baby” and “Guess who’s coming to dinner?” star lived in the 1927-built “Mexican-style hacienda” in Coldwater Canyon for five years before selling it to English “Frankenstein” star Boris Karloff and is said to have believed the property to be haunted. She even claimed that a ghost moved around the furniture.
The unique home is one of just a few old school masonry-style mansions still existing in the neighborhood, according to listing broker Edward Fitz of the Agency.
“There are really just a handful of these houses left in Los Angeles and this is one of the best examples,” he told the Daily News.

The 5,000-square-foot house, at 2320 Bowmont Dr., sits on an acre of land and has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, a library, a bar, a rose garden and a swimming pool.
The listing was first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
