New favorite thing: Prince William Chamber’s easy email

Email is the most trusted form of online communication.

Think about it. We’ve got Tweets whizzing by our heads, and listicles coming at us on Facebook all day long. We’ve got instant messengers, texts, and video chats on Google.

But your inbox is a sacred realm, one where your co-workers, friends, and family can send the most important of messages. It’s a place where internet memes don’t belong. And God help us if we get a piece of spam.

Each week, Peggy Kimmey at the Prince William Chamber of Commerce sends out one such valuable email. It’s a listing of the week’s upcoming events at the Prince William Chamber.

From networking sessions, conferences, to lunches, the list contains the dates, locations, and times where business owners can go and do what they do best — talk to other business owners about, you guessed it, their businesses.

Sure, these events are already listed on the Prince William Chamber of Commerce’s website, and anyone can view them at any time. But this email — that comes in the form of the most trusted form of online communication — is a handy, timely, did I mention free events guide that lands in my email box every Friday afternoon.

The email is just one of the perks of being a member of the chamber. Because it’s so useful, I started printing it out and sticking them in the front of my binder so I know what’s happening for the upcoming week.

That’s why Peggy Kimmey’s weekly email is our new favorite thing.
