A tiny four-storey hotel has recently become the talking point of travellers in China – because of its dire state.
Recently emerged photographs showed the desolate condition of the business, which has been listed for demolition by local government, in Chongqing, south west China
As the owners are yet to finalise the compensation for a relocation, ‘Lucky Lodge’ remains open despite lying amidst rubble, reported People’s Daily Online

Amazingly, guests still seem to be staying at the hotel. People have been seen hanging out their laundry
Pictures of the building has been widely circulated on Chinese media and many have dubbed it ‘the most arrogant hotel’.
The area used to be a row of adjoining commercial building but all the other buildings on the block have already been demolished.
The owners, who remain anonymous, haven’t successfully negotiated compensation with the authorities, so the hotel stayed open.
The building’s skeleton is exposed and grass has started growing from its walls but it shows no sign of moving
As its neighbours have already been demolished, much of the building’s skeleton is exposed. Grass has even started sprouting from its walls.
Inside, the scene is similar with many cracks on the wall.
Despite the fact that its in such a dire condition, the hotel is accepting guests.
Amazingly, guests still seem to be staying at the hotel. People have been seen hanging out their laundry on the balcony.
It’s not clear whether the owners have violated any safety regulations by staying open.
