David Cassidy’s Florida mansion will go up for auction in September as the former teen heartthrob seeks to put his financial affairs in order.
The auction on September 9 has been court-ordered as part of bankruptcy proceedings initiated by the singer earlier this year.
Cassidy, 65, who’s been plagued with alcohol issues and is in the middle of a divorce from wife Sue Shifrin, has been trying to sell the 7,000-square-foot waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale since 2013.

The home has five bedrooms and five baths and sits on just under half an acre.
It sits on a canal with access to the ocean and has a dock and boatlift as well as a swimming pool.
The interior features marble and wood floors, an expansive master suite and a family room and library/office.

Customized: Cassidy and third wife Sue Shifrin bought the property in 2001 and have since added to it and upgraded it
According to Yahoo!, Cassidy and his wife purchased the home in 2001 for $1.1 million. They added to it substantially in 2006.
The couple listed the property two years ago with an asking price of $4.5 million but it failed to find a buyer.
It was most recently listed for sale at $2,950,000.
Shifrin filed for divorce in February 2014 after 28 years of marriage and one son together, Beau, also a musician.

Her divorce filing came on month after the former Partridge Family star was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles, the third such arrest since November 2010.
After publicly announcing he’s an alcoholic i 2008, the I Think I Love You singer has struggled with his sobriety.
According to the National Enquirer in June, Cassidy checked himself in to rehab again after filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
He reportedly has monthly expenses of $27,000 and an income of $12,500 a month and, RadarOnline has said, owes about $2 million to creditors.
