A CONSERVATION society and the council are teaming up to help offer an element of planning protection to non-listed, but valued buildings.
The Windsor and Eton Society is working with Royal Borough conservation officers with the intention to create a list of non-listed heritage assets across the two towns.
The plan is that the list will offer some degree of protection to non-listed buildings should developers come calling, wanting to make largescale changes to buildings with historic resonance or specific character, but are not heritage listed.
As a result, the society and officers have set up a workshop at Windsor Library, in Bachelors Acre, on Wednesday from 9.30-11.30am as an introduction to the idea. The workshop is called An Introduction to Local Listing, Purpose, Methods, and Potential Benefits. Anyone who is interested in helping with the list is welcome to attend the meeting.
