Multi-million dollar Priddis luxury homes going on the auction block | Calgary …

Two brand-new luxury homes in Priddis are being marketed and sold through an auction process later this month.

The two properties, by Calgary-based Homes by Bellia, have been on the market for less than two weeks and are listed for sale at $3.988 million and $2.898 million.

They are located at Hawk’s Nest Hollow. They are to be auctioned by luxury real estate auction firm Concierge Auctions.

Paul Bellisimo, of Homes by Bellia, said the auction route is the future.

All you have to do is put down $100,000 and you can bid on these homes being sold via an auction rather than by a realtor.

The home at 302 Hawk’s Nest Hollow, with the list price of close to $4 million, has a reserve price of $1.995 million for the auction. It is 9,200 square feet with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bathroom.

The 5,500 square foot home at 306 Hawk’s Nest Hollow, with the list price of close to $3 million, has a reserve price of $1.488 million. It has four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom.

Mark Evernden, president of sales for Engel Volkers in Calgary, who has the listings, said he has received more than 3,000 emails locally, nationally and globally about the properties.

“Basically right now we’re in an intense marketing strategy. Exposure. We’re reaching out to all the brokerages. We’re utilizing Concierge’s data base. So when they did the official launch within their system it went out to 200,000 individuals in Canada, North America and outside. That’s a great process,” he said.

“There’s a lot of interest.”

Evernden said individuals interested in registering for the auction have to put down $100,000. They must also have proof of funds for the purchase with either a mortgage in place or funds from a lender so they can close the deal within 30 days. The money is refunded if the registrants didn’t win the bid.

He said when the auction goes live the homes could be sold within half an hour.

Evernden said the auction process generates plenty of interest and is another option for homeowners or builders to sell their properties.

“These are unique properties. These are properties that take time and money to sell as a regular real estate process. It’s a great option,” he said.
