Liverpool homes are some of the most discounted on the property market, research has suggested.
Homes for sale in Liverpool are reduced, on average nearly £13,000, which equals 7.5%.
The research, taken out by property website Zoopla, also revealed that discount levels on houses are at their lowest since 2010.
Signalling bad news for buyers looking to negotiate a better deal, the study has shown that nationwide houses are reduced by just 6.05% on average.
The north has the highest level of discounts with Liverpool sitting at number six, below Coventry, Blackburn, Bradford, Manchester and Blackpool.
Around 35% of Liverpool’s homes are discounted, versus 37.8% on the Wirral.
Lawrence Hall, of Zoopla, said: “Buyers may be disheartened by the decrease in the typical discounts on offer, but can take cheer from the fact that almost a third of houses are listed today below their original asking price.”
