Aquarion Logos, God Eater, Shimoseka’s Episode Counts Listed

French streaming site Anime Digital Network posted the episode counts for the upcoming anime series Aquarion Logos, God Eater, and Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai. The site is listing Aquarion Logos at 27 episodes, God Eater at 13 episodes, and Shimoseka at 12 episodes.

Aquarion Logos, the third Aquarion television season, will premiere in Japan on July 2.

The series will star:

  • Ayane Sakura as Maia Tsukigane
  • Yūto Adachi as Subete Kenzaki
  • Haruka Chisuga as Kokone Kikogami
  • Yuichiro Umehara as Hayato Kujyo
  • Takayuki Asai as Tsutomu Domon
  • Ari Ozawa as Karan Uminagi
  • Jouji Nakata as Sōgon Kenzaki
  • Saima Nakano as Shōko Iwagami
  • Ryoko Shirashi as Sakurako Soda

Eiichi Sato will be directing the anime at Satelight at C2C from scripts by Jun Kumagai, Yuniko Ayana, and Mariko Mochizuki. Takashi Mamezuka is designing the characters, and will also serve as chief animation diretor. R.O.N is composing the music. May’n and Haruka Chisuga will perform the opening and ending theme songs, respectively. Yoko Kanno is composing the opening theme song for May’n.

God Eater will premiere on July 5 as a Daisuki exclusive. Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the anime adaptation of its video game series during the Tokyo Game Show 2014 event last September.

The series will star Ryūichi Kijima (Beast Saga‘s Argyllo, Beyblade: Shogun Steel‘s Torimaki B) as the protagonist Lenka Utsugi. Lenka, who is an original character, is a new “God Arc” (Jin-ki) weapon user. The staff chose Kijima for the role after auditioning more than 100 people.

Takayuki Hirao will direct the anime at ufotable with character designs by Keita Shimizu (Tales of Phantasia, ToHeart2 key animation) and music by Gō Shiina (Kyousogiga, God Eater games). Hirao also was the director for the anime promotional video for the first game in 2010. ufotable will use hand-drawn animation to animate the God Arc weapons instead of CG. OLDCODEX (Free!, Kuroko’s Basketball) will perform the opening theme song.

Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (A Boring World Where the Concept of ‘Dirty Jokes’ Doesn’t Exist) is adapted from Hirotaka Akagi‘s light novels.

The anime’s cast includes:

  • Satomi Arai as Otome Saotome

  • Yui Ogura as Binkan-chan
  • Youhei Suzuki (The “Hentai” Prince and the Stony Cat.) will direct with series scripts by Masahiro Yokotani (Free! Eternal Summer, Riddle Story of Devil) at J.C. Staff. Masahiro Fujii (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, Hayate the Combat Butler, The Familiar of Zero) is adapting Eight Shimotsuki‘s original character designs. Akiyuki Tateyama is scoring the music with the production label Starchild. Jin Aketagawa is directing the sound, and GENCO is producing the anime. Sumire Uesaka will perform the show’s ending theme “Inner Urge.”

    The show will premiere on Tokyo MX1 on July 4 at 1:30 a.m., and will air on the same time slot every Saturday.
