Smartphones have become an integral part of our lives, something that not many people could have predicted in the past. Smartphones are these small computers that we carry around with us everywhere which give us access to all sorts of information all over the world thanks to our internet connections. Smartphones are multifunctional devices which can be used for a lot of different functions, and that’s what makes them great. That being said, there are many smartphone markets all over the world, those markets are full of different smartphone OEMs which are doing their best to produce the best and most affordable smartphones possible. There are a number of well-known smartphone OEMs that more or less everyone knows, and then there are those who are up-and-coming or relatively unknown. Each year we see different lists of top smartphone manufacturers in the world, and we’re here to take a look at one of those, read on.

This top 10 OEMs list comes from ‘Communities Dominate Blogs’, and according to it, Samsung is the number one smartphone OEM in the world. Keep in mind that this list doesn’t show only Android OEMs, but all smartphone OEMs whose smartphones are running Android, Windows Phone, iOS, Tizen or Firefox operating system. That being said, if you take a look at the image below this article, you’ll notice a full list of OEMs. Interestingly enough, Samsung, Apple and Lenovo (Motorola Mobility sales included) didn’t more from 1st, 2nd and third place, but the rest of this list is different than it was before. There are quite a few Chinese smartphone OEMs on this list: Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, Coolpad and Vivo; 6 out of 10 OEMs are actually China-based.

Samsung’s market share in Q1 2015 was 24.3%, which makes that Korea-based tech giant the number one OEM on this list. Apple is placed 2nd with 17.9% market share, while Lenovo is a distant third, and has managed to grab 5.5% of the market in the first quarter of the year. Huawei, LG and Xiaomi follow the top three and have managed to grab 5.1%, 4.5% and 4.4% of the market, respectively. ZTE, Coolpad/Yulong, TCL/Alcatel and Vivo have also made it to this list.
