Her milkshake brings all the boys to this yard! The spectacular mansion belonging to Mean Girls character Regina George is officially on the market.
The estate, which housed Amy Poehler and Rachel McAdams‘ characters (Regina and her “cool mom” Mrs. George) in the 2004 classic, has been listed by Sotheby’s International Realty for $14.8 million. While the film took place in suburban Illinois, the scenes were shot in Toronto, Canada.
Sotheby’s described the home in its listing as “an exquisite NeoClassical Solid Stone Estate that features the perfect balance of grandeur and elegance.”
The 20,000-square foot property includes 11 bedrooms, a six-car garage, 12 bathrooms, and, in case there weren’t enough showers or toilets, two half bathrooms. The home stands on two acres of private property which features an oversized pool, a regulation size tennis court, and a separate 1,000-square foot stone cottage which includes a “self-contained apartment.”
Features include a two-story grand marbled entrance, where Regina and her posse of Plastics — Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert), and Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried) — strut through after school to greet Mrs. George (Poehler), wearing her trademark pink Juicy Couture tracksuit.
There is a spacious “master dressing room” which includes heated flooring. There is also a separate quarter for maids and estate staff.
Scenes from the movie were shot in the kitchen, the master bedroom (which George traded with her parents), and the foyer of the home.
Fans have been clamoring for a Mean Girls sequel as the cult favorite marked its 10th anniversary last fall. “Why can’t we do a sequel? Of us all grown up,” Lohan mused to Entertainment Weekly. “To work with everyone involved in Mean Girls again would be an honor. It was such a good experience. I think it would be really cool.”
