NORTHAMPTON Town boss Chris Wilder has said the club are yet to recieve any enquiries about transfer-listed former Bristol Rovers man John-Joe O’Toole.

O’Toole, 26, was told he was surplus to requirements three weeks ago, along with fellow team-mate Chris Hackett.

The midfielder has two years left on his contract after signing for the Cobblers last summer following Rovers’ relegation to the Conference. He was top scorer for the Pirates in the 2013/14 season with 13 league goals.

However, his form this term has been poor and Northampton made the decision to ship him out on loan to Southend last November.

Wilder is still hopeful that the O’Toole and Hackett will find themselves new homes ahead of next season, although he accepts both are within their rights to return for pre-season.

He told the Northampton Chronicle: “There hasn’t been any interest in either of them, there have been no calls.

“It has been quiet, and I think their agents will be working to get them out because both boys know the situation here.

“If they don’t go then they will be back with us, but they both know they are not going to play regularly, so to get their careers up and running they need to sort themselves out, and their agents do too.

“We also know we have an obligation to the players if they don’t go.”
