She’s currently enjoying some time in Melbourne with Seven’s Kylie Gillies.
And during her stay Samantha Armytage took some time to take a peek at Como House – a National Trust listed property that her family owned half a century ago.
The 37-year-old shared two shots of herself standing by the historical property, writing: ‘HOME (well, it used to be).’
Home of the Armytage’s! Samantha Armytage visited her ancestor’s family house, Melbourne’s famous Como House, on Sunday during her weekend in Victoria
She posed for a selfie by the front of the house, which has a plaque that reads ‘The Home Of The Armytage Family 1864- 1959.’
The property was bought by her ancestor Charles Armytage in 1864 and was sold by two of his ten children, Constance and Leila, in 1959 to the National Trust, who have preserved it since.
Sam grew up in equally stunning surroundings – Victoria’s Bolaro Station, a 17.5 thousand acre property her father managed for a Greek magnate.
History: The home, which was bought by the National Trust for preservation in 1959, was bought by Charles Armytage in 1864
In 2013 she explained to Better Homes And Gardens that the main home was off-limits, but the rest off the expansive acreage was her family’s playground for the first 25 years of her life.
Samantha and Kylie are in the Victorian capital for the Sydney Swans versus Melbourne Demons AFL game in support of the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
The Sunrise presenter shared a series of shots of her promoting the cause at Saturday night’s game – revealing that $62,000 was raised in the half-time portion alone.
The duo took advantage of their downtime on Saturday with a tour through the city – where they sat on a hot pink carriage, pulled along by two horses.
‘When in Melbourne, Mrs Gillies I choose to slow things down a little and try not to draw too much attention to ourselves,’ she joked alongside a shot of the pair on the horses.
