An entrepreneurial chef or a dynamic front-of-house operator is being sought to bring a new lease of life to a foodie pub in Powys.
Colliers International has been instructed by the owners of the Nantyffin Cider Mill, in Crickhowell, to seek new tenants to run the business on their behalf.
The pub, listed in the Good Food Guide 2015, has a prominent location within Brecon Beacons National Park and forms part of the famous Glanusk Estate.
The Nantyffin Cider Mill is currently owned by by Harry, Iona and Shan Legge-Bourke, the latter who has been Lord Lieutenant of Powys since 1998.
Her daughter Tiggy is a former nanny to Prince Harry and William.

Rich history
The property was originally a 17 century farmhouse which became a cider mill, press and farm producing cider for the estate and its workers. The former cider barn now forms the restaurant of the pub with the original cider press at its heart.
Colliers International believes that the pub is likely to attract an up-and-coming chef or charismatic operator looking to make their mark on the Welsh foodie scene.

Hotels director Peter Brunt said: “The Nantyffin Cider Mill is ideally suited for an entrepreneurial chef or front person to build upon an established business and grow the pub’s reputation as a food destination.
“I find that having a landlord like Glanusk Estate is a draw for tenants as local estates are long term in their outlook.
The lease is free of any tie too, making the opportunity much more attractive than those being offered by the big pub companies.”
The new free-of-tie lease includes a two bedroom converted farmhouse flat for the owners.
