Clippers point guard Chris Paul is questionable for Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals on Monday night at the Toyota Center.
While Paul, who has a strained left hamstring, might miss some action, the Rockets are preparing for him to play.
“That’s the head of the snake,” guard Jason Terry said. “Obviously, we expect him to play. We’re preparing as if he will be in the lineup.”
Paul played in Game 7 against the Spurs on Saturday night with the injury and scored the game-winning shot.
Rockets coach Kevin McHale said the Rockets’ game plan would stay the same whether or not Paul was in the lineup.
“He may or may not (play),” McHale said. “The sun may or may not come up tomorrow, but I’m banking on it. We’ll go from there.”
