Richard Jones, 33, of College Green, Droitwich, had been included on a list compiled by the International Committee of the Red Cross of people missing in the country following Saturday’s earthquake.
But a relative told the Worcester News that he had been in touch and is ok.
Richard Jones, 33, of College Green, Droitwich, was also listed on the Google Person Finder website – a project which helps people reconnect with friends and loved-ones in the aftermath of natural disasters – as missing in the country.
He is described on the site as “white, tall, slim, [with] dark hair” and had been “trekking in the Annapurna region carrying his own backpack”.
