Liverpool WAG Alex Gerrard has been rated among the top celebrities the nation most scentsationally admire.
Aintree-born Alex, 32, beat top model Cara Delevingne in the poll, which was commissioned by The Perfume Shop, to mark National Perfume Day on Thursday April 16.
Alex came in ninth in the list of 10 female celebs, which also included Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Victoria Beckham, Taylor Swift and Britney Spears.
Keith Lemon came out smelling of roses in the latest research commissioned by the celebrity perfume specialist.
When asked which celebrities the nation would most like to see create their own fragrance, over 1 in 10 Brits admit that they would like to smell as sweet as the loveable rogue himself and would support the comedian’s very own perfume venture… if it was ever to be invented.
King and Queen of the sofa, Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield also came out smelling sweet with almost a quarter (23%) of the nation crowning the golden duo as the couple they would most like to buy his and her scents from.
The Perfume Shop are the largest supplier of celebrity scents (selling approximately 1.5 million bottles in 2013), found that almost a third (29%) of Brits, when asked to rank their celebrity scent sweethearts, put David Beckham at the top of the scentometer awarding him as the Best Smelling Male Celebrity. The gorgeous footballer was swiftly followed by George Clooney who is a close second with a quarter (24%) of the nation stating that they trust the heart-throb’s scent to be pretty good too. Geordie lass Cheryl Fernandez-Versini beat Victoria Beckham to the top of the poll for the ladies by a fraction with a quarter (25%) of the UK admitting that the X Factor lass is likely to smell of all things nice.
Surprisingly, the nation are opting for the charming woes of Holly more than one of the nations most loved and expensive faces, Cara Delevingne.
The findings are announced after commissioning research which polled 2,000 people and outlined the nation’s scent habits across the country. Michelle D’vaz, Brand amp; Marketing Manager at The Perfume Shop says: “We are delighted to be celebrating National Perfume Day, a day that The Perfume Shop has established to mark the integral role scent plays and continues to do so in today’s society and culture.
