Three years after opening The Village Pub in a strip mall near the Arborland shopping center, the owner of the restaurant and bar is looking to sell the business.
Colliers International agent Jim Chaconas is representing the owner, Lisa Rasak, in the sale of the business but could not comment on why the decision was made to sell.
“It’s a terrific little buildout in there. If someone wants a neighborhood pub, it’s all ready to go,” Chaconas said. “This is turnkey ready to go.”
Located at 3452 Washtenaw Ave. in Ann Arbor, the business has a sale price of $199,900 and includes the liquor license. Chiconas said the liquor license alone typically sells for somewhere from $55,000 to $65,000.
The 1,600-square-foot space has seating for 65 to 70 patrons and has a full kitchen with a fryer, grill, and hood system. A long bar includes 12 beer taps and several televisions are hung on the walls.
“This thing is very efficient, brand new with top-of-the-line equipment,” Chaconas said. “There’s not too many little bars around there for the neighborhood.”
The restaurant comes with a 25-year lease of the property and rent on the property starts at $3,000 a month through 2016 and increases slightly every five years. The property has been listed for just over a week, said Chaconas.
Rasak could not be reached for comment.
