If you have about $350,000 burning a hole in your pocket, you could own the Fintry Queen.
The iconic passenger vessel went on the market Friday morning, listed at $349,900.
The listing is held by RE/MAX Penticton Realty associate Richard Wilkins.
Wilkins said he received a call from a prospective buyer and contacted current owner Andy Schwab, who gave the go-ahead to list the vessel.
The Fintry Queen is currently moored at Sutherland Bay in Kelowna, awaiting a possible move to Penticton.
A tentative agreement is in place with the City of Penticton that would allow for the Fintry Queen to sail out of the city.
The five-year deal, reached in October of last year, is contingent on Schwab or the vessel’s owner being able to build a dock and the accompanying infrastructure west of Kiwanis Pier.
It is expected a new pier would cost approximately $300,000 to construct, with another $100,000 needed in renovations to the boat.
The Fintry Queen last sailed in 2008. According to Schwab, significant upgrades were made to the vessel nearly a decade ago and a marine survey completed last year found her to be in “excellent mechanical condition.”
The 326-passenger ship carried an average of about 28,000 passengers each summer during the 1990s.
