WESTFIELD — The owners of recently closed Paddy’s Irish Pub at 110 Elm St. are advertising the business for sale on the online site Craigslist.
The ad on Craigslist, best known as a place to find a used futon or a new roommate, says the bar “has become a popular destination for locals and Westfield State Students.”
Current owners Daniel V. Dineen of Wilbraham and Thomas P. Murphy of Agawam plan to retain ownership of the building, according to the ad. They are asking for $150,000 for the business including a full liquor and entertainment license. Rent is $2,500 a month for just the basement and first floor. The second floor banquet space is optional, according to the ad.
They describe the bar as having fire sprinklers and occupancy of 97 with handicap-accessible bathrooms and a 30-tap beer system.
Dineen and Murphy closed the bar in early January.
They bought the former Piccolo property at 110 Elm St. at a city auction in 2010 for $220,000 and about $31,000 in taxes and utility fees.
They opened the Irish-themed sports bar the next year. The partners own other area bars.
