Listed status for Bank of England building

BANK HOUSE in Leeds has been awarded Grade II listed building status.

The building on King Street, designed in the 1960s by architects BDP, has been added to the list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest by English Heritage.

The former Bank of England regional headquarters was completed in 1971 and joins Preston Bus Station and the Halifax Building, built as the building society’s head office, as listed buildings.
