Land Sale

CUMULUS has put the land under the transmission towers of News-Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON in BETHESDA MD up for sale, according to the MONTGOMERY COUNTY SENTINEL.

No asking price has been attached to the property by broker CBRE GROUP, INC. but CBRE SVP JOHN SHERIDAN noted, “75 acres in BETHESDA.  You don’t need to say anything more than that… there’s the potential to build 300 or more homes.”  The SENTINEL cites local real estate experts estimating the value in the hundreds of millions.  WMAL simulcasts on 105.9 FM from a tower in VIRGINIA; it is unknown what the company plans to do with WMAL-A, but relocation to an existing AM site is likely.

CUMULUS put the land under the towers of News-Talk KABC-A/LOS ANGELES and studio building for KABC and sister Classic Rock KLOS up for sale in late 2013.
