The 284 W. Market St. building that is home to New Grounds Roasting Co. is for sale.

Bennett Williams Realty is listing the 8,712 square foot building for sale, according to the Bennett Williams website.

The building is listed for $250,000 and the real estate, business and equipment is available for $400,000, the listing said.

Jennifer Anderson, New Grounds’ owner, could not be reached for comment despite several attempts. The shop was not open on Thursday or Friday morning when a reporter visited it.

Abe Khan, one of the Bennett Williams brokers handling the listing, said recently that two local groups have expressed interest, but he declined to identify them.

The property is “well-located,”and “there’s a lot of positive activity going on,” in the WeCo neighborhood, Khan said.

Anderson launched New Grounds in 2010 in the West Market Street building that was formerly home to Sparky Clark’s coffee shop.

New Grounds has become a fixture in York’s WeCo neighborhood. In addition to the coffee shop and roasting facility, the building is also home to a music venue called The Shop and to Stick -N-Move, a youth boxing program.
