The following planning applications have been submitted to Northumberland County Council.

Ellington and Linton: Mrs Kathryn Riches, 4 The Elms, Ellington, Tree Preservation Order application, quercus robur, prune south-east branch at 8m approximately back to lateral and reduce south branch at 5m to 6m by 3m approximately; Mr Gary Phillips, Tarock, Ellington, double garage.

Hepscott: Mr and Mrs John and Samantha Smith, The Nynes, single-storey side extension for swimming pool, with first-floor balcony above.

Longhirst: Felton Property and Investment, Micklewood House, change of use of former decoro spa to private dwelling.

Longhorsley: Mr and Mrs D Nicholson, Ghyllheugh Lodge, sub-division of dwelling to form two semi-detached dwellings; Mr Paul Brannan, Meadow View, replacement of bedroom window with wider glazed sliding door.

Matfen: Mr G Dunn, Fenwick Shield, demolition of conservatory, erection of two-storey extension to south, removal of chimney and erection of flue, installation of two dormer windows to south and one to west elevation and three rooflights to front.

Morpeth: Mrs Franca Bilclough, 9 Ridley Close, first-floor side extension over existing garage and single-storey side extension to create cloakroom; Morpeth Railway Station, Coopies Lane, listed building consent for demolition of platform 2 passenger waiting shelter and installation of new platform 2 shelter; Mr W Mahmood, St Christopher’s House, Abbey Meadows, window replacement, extended roof over bay windows at first floor and canopies over bay windows at ground floor; Mr Neil Creighton, land north of Mathesons Gardens Car Park, Tree Preservation Order application to fell five elderberry, lilac retaining back stem, seven maple/sycamore stems, two cherry and one ash, coppice stems of limes, crown reduce oak by 2m to reduce overhang and crown lift by 2m, reduce thorn and holly to 4m.

Ponteland: Miss Sian Eckert, Northumberland College Hall, Kirkley Hall, Kirkley, discharge of condition 3 from application 14/01528/LBC (listed building consent for installation of three enterprise units within recessed area of stable block north elevation, demolition of asbestos roof, supporting trusses and columns); Mr N Jordan, 23 and 25 Western Way, demolition of two houses and creation of two replacement houses; Mrs Jane Baines, 81 Dunsgreen, garage extension and two-storey over existing garage, planting hedge and boundary fence; Mr R Wright, land south-east of 33 Darras Road, Darras Hall, five-bedroom family dwelling.
