Brigham Young’s Tyler Haws is considered “day-to-day” with a sprained left ankle and might be able to play Saturday against Stanford, a school spokesperson told CBSSports.com on Monday.
“He’s day-to-day and will be evaluated at the end of the week,” said Kyle Chilton, the media relations director for the Cougars. “He could play Saturday. But everything will depend on how his ankle responds over the next few days.”
Haws suffered the ankle sprain during Saturday’s 76-60 win at Weber State. The 6-foot-5 guard is averaging a career-high 23.8 points per game this season while shooting a career-high 49.7 percent from the field, a career-high 43.4 percent from 3-point range and a career-high 90.1 percent from the free-throw line. He ranks third nationally in points per game — behind only Iona’s A.J. English (24.4) and UNC Asheville’s Andrew Rowsey (24.4).
