Daryl Hannah, of ‘Splash’ and ‘Kill Bill’ fame, is putting her Malibu, California house up on the market. Though, “house” doesn’t quite do it justice. Try “bohemian compound” instead. Though this ultimate nod to the hippy lifestyle doesn’t come cheap at $4.25 million.
True to form, the actress-turned-protester’s house was built with green materials and is solar powered. Originally a plant nursery, the 17-acre property was converted to a residence in 1963.
On property are various cactus, palm forests, fruit trees and a creek. All that’s in addition to the ocean view from one of the buildings. Yes, buildings, plural. The first of the three small and whimsical buildings houses the living room with a fireplace, the kitchen with skylight, art studio and a full bath.
The second building houses the master suite. But this isn’t just any bedroom. It has a kitchenette, another fireplace, a walk-in closet and bath with Japanese soaking tub. The third building is the guest room.
