Organisers of open days at a Grade II listed country house are on the lookout for volunteers.
Valentines Mansion and Gardens, in Emerson Road, Ilford, dates back to 1696, and more than 73,000 visitors have visited since the mansion reopened to the public in 2009.
Volunteers are needed to work at open days as tour guides, storytellers and art workshop leaders.
A volunteer open day is on October 12 where a tour of the mansion and gardens will take place and people can apply for roles between 1pm and 3pm.
A spokesman said: “We rely on the dedication of our volunteers to welcome visitors to open days and events so everyone can take time to enjoy the stunning setting, nestled in Valentines Park.
“You will ensure our visitors enjoy our exhibitions, special events and creative workshops, step back in time and explore the recreated Victorian kitchen and Georgian rooms – there’s so much to do at Valentines, you’ll be surprised.”
