THE managing director of First Hampshire, Dorset and Berkshire has been shortlisted for a national bus industry award.

Marc Reddy has been short-listed for manager of the year for a large operator in the annual awards organised by Route One, the coach and bus industry trade magazine.

Since being appointed to the role last year, Mr Reddy has been responsible for a business which comprises 1,200 staff based at 11 depots, including Portsmouth and Fareham.

Mr Reddy joined the bus industry in 1987 and his roles in the ensuing 26 years have included commercial director and then deputy managing director for First Hampshire and Dorset between 2001 and 2006.

He was also managing director of First South Coast and then regional commercial and business growth director for First South West, Wales and Ireland.
