MULTIPLE Australian surfing champion Wayne Lynch’s house has been relisted for sale at $3.6m.

Featuring panoramic ocean views and located near Urquharts Bluff between Anglesea and Aireys Inlet, Namatjira has been the Lynch family residence for 35 years.

Mr Lynch is considered an influential and innovative surfer and one who helped revolutionise the sports seismic shift from the classic if languorous longboarding to high velocity shortboarding.

It is understood that Mr Lynch who was inducted into the Australian Surfing Hall of Fame in 1988, is looking at moving to the northern NSW coast.

Hayden agent Marius Tekin said the 1980s three-level house with expansive coastal views home is on a 4.45ha block of protected natural bush.

“Unique is the word I would use for this property as it has stunning views of Urquharts Bluff and the coastline,” he said.

“It’s rare to find a property of this size in this location for sale as it is surrounded by properties that do not change hands over the generations.”

While the property is perfect for those who love to ride the waves, Mr Tekin said he was seeing the property attract the attention of high-level purchasers.

“There’s no doubt there two folds of interest,” he said.

“The house will probably be bought by an overseas investors or a professional from Melbourne or Sydney looking for an outstanding coastal home as these are the people with the capacity to spend this amount on a beach house.”

Mr Tekin said there are two dwellings, the main residence with three bedrooms and a self-contained three-bedroom studio with bathroom.
